Biography
My research interests are in cross-disciplinary studying Earth system science to understand the relationship between global geodynamics, atmospheric sciences, and natural hazards. The general approach I use is to study the Earth system as a whole, focusing on the interaction between the Lithosphere and atmosphere. My latest work includes the validation of the Lithosphere- atmosphere-ionosphere coupling concept (LAIC). My primary area of interest is the interdisciplinary observations of pre-earthquake processes, which impact the understanding of the physics of earthquakes and the phenomena that precede their energy release. The interdisciplinary approach includes analyzing the anomalies in different geophysical fields, including satellite, GPS, and in-situ observations. For the last decade, I have worked with scientists who use different models and methods and promote cooperation and exchange of data and physical-based methods for monitoring phenomena associated with large natural disasters. The outcome of this research could expand our views about the physics of mega-disasters and the geosphere’s interaction associated with them.
