Biography

Please see my full CV: https://www.etis.ee/CV/Inga_Lips/est?tabId=CV_ENG Dr Inga Lips is the Secretary General of the European Global Observing System (EuroGOOS). She has a PhD in Hydrobiology. She has combined biological and physical oceanography in her previous studies, integrating traditional ship-based measurements and laboratory analysis with data from autonomous measuring and sampling platforms. She has led many national and international projects, coordinated the national open sea monitoring program in Estonia and developed national and Baltic Sea wide oceanographic measurement programmes. She is serving as a co-chair of the steering group and advisory group of European Ocean Observing System (EOOS), is a member of the scientific and technical advisory group of Euro-Argo ERIC, is an advisory board member of the Board of European Environmental Research Infrastructures (BEERi) and member of the GOOS Regional Alliances (GRA) council.
