Biography
Dario Guastella is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow within the group led by Prof. Giovanni Muscato at the University of Catania (Italy) and he is currently working in the Department of Electrical, Electronics, and Computer Engineering (DIEEI).
His research activity is about terrain traversability analysis to support navigation of field mobile robots in unstructured environments, either autonomously or teleoperated.
Different solutions have been investigated, leveraging geometric approach, virtual reality and artificial intelligence.
Other related research topics he is involved in are cooperative robotics systems (UAV and UGV) and path planning.
