Biography
Giorgio Martalò was born in Galatina (Lecce - Italy) on March 2 1984. He got the “Diploma” degree (100/100) at the Liceo Scientifico “Antonio Vallone”, Galatina, Lecce, Italy. He received the “Laurea” degree (3-year program, equivalent to a Bachelor) (101/110) in Mathematics on November 24, 2008, discussing a thesis with title "Hopf bifurcations and limit cycles in nonlinear mechanical systems" (in italian). He received the “Laurea Specialistica” (3+2 year program, equivalent to a Master) (110/110 cum laude) in Pure and Applied Mathematics on July 19, 2011, discussing a thesis with title “Kinetic theory for reactive gases with resonance effects and multi-temperature hydrodynamic limits” (in Italian). He received the Ph.D. degree in Mathematics and Statistics for Computational Sciences at the University of Milan, Italy on December 16,2014, discussing a thesis with title "Different scale modeling for crowd dynamics and multi-temperature gas mixtures". From 15th may 2015 to 30th April 2017 he has a post-doc position at the University of Bordeaux. Form 1st july 2017 to 30th november 2018 he had an INdAM fellowship at the Department of Mathematics at the University of Naples. Form 1st december 2018 he is post-doc at the Department of Mathematical, Physical and Computer Sciences of the University of Parma
