Abstract: Sicilian volcanoes are very active volcano and profoundly influenced the life of people living on their flanks since ancient times. Their activity has been documented since the beginning of recorded history, from Greek and Roman civilizations, giving volcanologists a uniquely long historical record for active volcanoes. Here we report the most important eruptions occurred in historical time at Etna and Aeolian Islands.
