Abstract: The paper presents the design and implementation of an integrated wireless network that support to the multiparametric geophysical monitoring network of the Campi Flegrei volcanic area. The wireless network is equipped with a tool for real-time monitoring and fault detection. The enhancement of the transmission system with respect to the previously existing one has been realized in view of the increased need for seismic monitoring, which is a consequence of the drilling of an exploration well for scientific purposes. The goal is to increase the performance of the recently deployed transmission system in terms of availability and reliability, given the high seismic risk and hazard associated with the experiment. Thanks to the automated monitoring tool, a significant increase in the availability of the system as well as an improvement in the quality of the connection are achieved.
