Title: | Nesting the Mediterranean Forecasting System Into A Daily Real Time Global Ocean Forecasting System | Issue Date: | 22-Sep-2014 | Keywords: | Mediterranean Monitoring and Forecasting Centre MyOcean ocean numerical modeling |
Abstract: | Sensitivity experiments to lateral open boundary conditions dataset used in the physical component of the MyOcean Mediterranean Monitoring and Forecasting Centre (Med-MFC), have been performed and the results are presented. The operational Mediterranean Forecasting System (MFS) is based on the NEMO code and it is currently nested with monthly climatological means computed from simulations of the Mercator-Ocean global system at 1/4º (Drevillon et al., 2008). Two additional lateral open boundary condition datasets from the MERCATOR-OCEAN Global Ocean forecasting System (GLO-MFC) have been considered |
