SeismNet Manager - A web application to manage hardware and data of a seismic network

Abstract

The paper gives a review of the open source and commercial seismic network monitoring tools currently available, and discusses in detail the development of SeismNet Manager used for the Irpinia Seismic Network (ISNet). An overview of the network is also given, with the flow of data from station to data center. The SeismNet Manager features are discussed in relation to the operation of this network, before going into specifics about how the application actually works. The paper gives a description of the application and its use in data acquisition of the Irpinia Seismic Network.
