Sergio Teggi was born in 1962, in Montefiorino, Modena (Italy).
In 1988, he received the degree in Physics from the University of Modena, Italy.
In 1990, he was hired as Research Technician at the University of Modena, Italy.
In 2001, he was hired as Researcher at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia, Italy.
Since 2006 he is with the Department of Engineering of the University of Modena and
Reggio Emilia, Italy, where she is currently an associate professor.
At the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia he taught and/or teaches courses in site remediation, environmental remote sensing, environmental monitoring, atmospheric dispersion of pollutants, topography and cartography.
He was and is member of Ph.D. (industry and environment) boards at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia.
He is the coordinator of the Degree Courses in Environmental Engineering at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia.
His research was and/or is focused mainly on environmental remote sensing, atmospheric dispersion models, site remediation, GIS, population exposure to risk agents.
He was P.I. or was involved in national and international research projects.
He is P.I. of the AERONET (Aerosol Robotic Network-NASA) station of Modena, Italy.
He is the Scientific Coordinator of the Geophysical Observatory (meteorological observations) of Modena.
He served as Reviewer and as Editor for several International Journal.
He was member of the Scientific Board of national and international Journals.
He was Chairman for national and international conferences.
He is author of more than 70 papers published on international journals.
