La rete Magnetica Italiana: lo stato attuale

The new national geomagnetic network of 106 repeat stations for total field F, horizontal component H, vertical component Z and declination D, has been repeated in the frame of a collaboration between Istituto Nazionale di Geofisica and Istituto Geografico Militare Italiano. From the observed magnetic elements the repeat stations values were referred to 1985.0 and normal fields in the form of a 2nd order polynomial in latitude and longitude were computed. All Geomagnetic maps published previously have been updated at 1985.0 and will be published in Bollettino di Geodesia e scienze affini. An overview of all work, new normal fields coefficients, secular variation normal field and the total field F map, is presented here.
