Abstract: The Istituto Nazionale di Geofisica e Vulcanologia, sezione di Napoli - Osservatorio Vesuviano began actions for the acquisition (by donation) of the mineral collection of Mariano Carati, Neapolitan collector of Somma-Vesuvius minerals.
