General or miscellaneous | Abstract: | The April, 6 2009 earthquake that stroke L’Aquila region represents the third large seismic event felt in Italy in the last thirty years, the third one in the “Internet era”, and the first one since the beginning of the so-called web2.0 epoch, during which web contents are generated by users themselves. Elements of computer-mediated communication between (web) population and the INGV - Istituto Nazionale di Geofisica e Vulcanologia are analyzed, as experimented in emergency by the Institute through the nodes of its web disseminating system. |
