Biography
Associate Professor in Information Processing Systems (09/H1). Before joining academia, he served as Second Lieutenant (OF-1) in the Italian Air Force, and has been a senior consultant for the Italian Ministry of Innovation and Technology and a freelance consultant and technical instructor. He is licensed to practice as Professional Engineer since 2000. He published 90+ peer reviewed scientific papers and has served as scientific editor, as chairman and member in 100+ scientific conference committees and as referee for ~25 journals. He is a member of IEEE and other scientific societies. His research is mainly centered on performance modeling of complex computer based systems, specially on multiformalism modeling techniques, critical systems and Big Data systems.
