| Abstract: | Heavy rains are very often responsible thr extensive mass movements. It has been the aim of this work to highlight the existence and intensity of the influence exerted by such rains in triggering selected landslides in Southern Italy, with reference to their main geomorphological features. Simple hydrological/statistical methods are suggested to predict landslide hazard caused by heavy rains. |
