Abstract: The article informs about the current status of conservation of the vulcanite area at Punta delle Pietre Nere, Lésina, Foggia, Apulia, Italy, the sole important mineralogical locality of this region. It also deeply informs on the relevant geology and tectonic, describing the minerals of the little coastal deposit of igneous rocks, after the observation of the samples found on the field as well as drawing on the bibliography. The mineral species occurring are: aegirine, albite, analcime, anorthoclase, apatite-(CaOH), augite, calcite, diopside, forsterite, hematite, “hornblend”, kaersutite, magnesiohastingsite, magnetite, “mica”, natrolite, nepheline, pyrite, sanidine, sodalite, and titanite.
