| Title: | Damage risk and scenarios in the Veneto - Friuli area |
| Issue Date: | 2007 |
| Keywords: | seismic risk seismic vulnerability seismic scenarios |
| Abstract: | The assessment of seismic damage to residential buildings and the estimation of human losses in the Veneto – Friuli area have been considered at different scale of analysis and, conforming with the hazard analysis trend, at different levels of investigation. In a wide area, defined by
nearly all the municipalities of three provinces in the area, a full probabilistic damage assessment has been performed, based on a regional probabilistic seismic hazard estimation.
Than, deterministic seismic damage scenarios were generated on two sub-regional areas,
centred on the Vittorio Veneto municipality; the ground motions derive by two different
simulations of the 1936 Cansiglio event (M5.8), and by an hypothetic M6.7 seismic source located in the Montello area. |
