| Abstract: | In this paper we study the implication of the hypothesis that the radiative convective equilibrium climate is neutral with respect to baroclinic eddies. If such neutral state is achieved by tropopause height readjustment, we find that the sensitivity of the climate equilibrium to baroclinic eddies is comparable to the sensitivity to water vapor profile. Multiple solutions to the readjusted tropopause are found by decreasing stratospheric static stability. |
