Abstract: Where available, regional assessments of earthquake hazard were compiled into the final map and elsewhere a knowledge of the tectonics and site specific studies, often for dams or mines, were cobbled together to produce a regional map. Cornell's method was used with a variety of attenuation relationships chosen for their suitability depending on the tectonics. Various versions of McGuire's program FRISK88 or similar programs including the USGS SEISRISK and the Seismology Research Centre's GMREC were used for the computations.
