About four weeks have passed since the local magnitude Ml 6.0 (moment magnitude Mw 6.0) earthquake struck the central Apennines area, between the towns of Norcia an Amatrice, on August 24. The amount of data so far collected and the ongoing studies, allow for a more detailed knowledge of the processes behind the earthquake and its seismic sequence. In the following we will illustrate analyses and results that integrate the ones described in the “First Summary Report on the Amatrice Earthquake”.en
