Abstract: This paper describes the main results of the join activities carried out by the DPC-INGV working group within the 2012-2013 DPC-INGV Seismological Projects. The activities were focused to the preparation of a Spatial Data Infrastructure for the management, visualization and distribution of seismic geographic data in different format associated with metadata. A Seismological Geoportal was developed to: i) facilitate the searching of seismological datasets using metadata and ii) to manage the data visualization in different format, according to the international standards of the Open Geospatial Consortium, exploiting different proprietary and open-source software and applications. The Seismological Geoportal will be a fundamental tool for the DPC-INGV Working Group to distribute output and deliverables of the 2014-2015 Seismological and Volcanological Projects.
